Drawing on 38+ years of design and manufacturing experience, we turn a critical eye to the design and manufacturing programs in the shop. We recently improved our solid modeling capabilities by upgrading to Solid Works, a more advanced and user friendly program that allows us to spend less time in front of the computer and more time machining functionality of the parts that we produce. We take the time to look for cost savings and efficiencies both in our processes and the parts integration into the final assembly and how the part will perform in its end application. Roncelli Plastics operates one of the most complete custom precision machine shops with capabilities for prototype production and small to large quantity production runs on a wide range of machined and fabricated components including very large and complex fabrications. Today’s machining centers are being asked to perform a wide variety of operations (sawing, routing, drilling) in both the vertical and horizontal planes at the highest speeds possible while, at the same time, maintaining quality of cut. Micro-vibrations are created around all types of CNC machining centers where there is head positioning, drilling, and high speed routing taking place on the machine base. Morbidelli solves the problem of deadening vibration as well as offering rigidity by employing heavy gauge steel members for the base of the machine. This weight, coupled with one-piece frame offers the best combination of rigidity and balanced strength on a cantilever design.
